This morning's devotions were on the role of a Missionary.

No pictures today. Since the bridge is complete, the men had a new project today. They were to locate a buried water line and put in a post and a hand pump. They dug the hole and located the waterline. Tomorrow they will install the post and the pump. The women went to Yreka to the Thrift and Antique stores, and had lunch together at Grandma's.

After dinner, the men were summoned to an emergency. A lady that lives here full time had gone looking for her dog. The couple's shephard had been missing for several days. They had been asking around to see if anyone had seen him. She found the dog with his chain still attached to him in Kidder Creek. The chain was wrapped around the brush at the edge of the stream. She climed more than 100 feet down a steep bank to free the dog. Once the dog was released, the dog drifted down stream. We don't know if the dog got out or not. He hadn't returned last night. But, the lady got herself stuck in the stream at the edge and could not get out. Her husband came for help because he could not get her out. One of the men climed down the bank below her and helped helped her up over the worst of the rocky area. Then the other men hoisted her the rest of the way up the 100 ft incline by rope. She was borderline shocky, but the men checked on her later and she was fine. Thank you God, and we pray the dog finds his way home.
