Edwardsville, IL to Hillsdale, MI - Michindoh

It was a very long day. We got up at 4:30 AM and arrived about 4:30 PM. We are here at last at our SOWERS project in Michigan.

We discovered that our trailer license plate was missing. Besides reporting it to CA DMV and CA Registration, we had to report it stolen to the Indiana State Police. They put it in a national stolen plates database. That cost us about 1 1/2 hours. We can't get another plate until we get home, and a difficult police officer could give us a ticket. But, hopefully, if we are stopped, the registration plus incident report will be enough for the officer to let us go.

We met with the Michindoh maintenance manager Dave and his wife Jackie. Grant is the group leader and required to arrive the day before the other SOWERS, who scheduled to arrive on Friday and Saturday.

Shawna will be flying to Tuscon, AZ on Saturday to spend two weeks with her sister. She has quite a collection of stuffed animals from nearly every state we visited.
